Multi-Agency Partnership Formed to Uncover Leads in the "Salome Arizona John Doe 2004" Case

June 11th, 2024

DNAhawkshaw Genetic Genealogy is honored to partner once again with the Pima County (AZ) Office of the Medical Examiner to utilize Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy (FIGG) in generating leads towards the identification of Salome Arizona John Doe 2004.

According to NamUs, the remains of this unidentified male, aged between 49-73 years old, were discovered on September 14th, 2004 at a motel in Salome, Arizona. His alias identity, James Hare, was eliminated through a fingerprint comparison. He has remained unidentified for almost twenty years.

In a strategic alliance, DNAhawkshaw Genetic Genealogy along with a team of independent FIGG analysts have partnered with Intermountain Forensics to establish a fundraising portal where donations can be made by the public to cover the necessary lab costs on these cases. Work like this would not be possible without these generous donations.  Thank you.
