Collaborative Formed to Uncover Leads in the "Vernon Arizona John Doe 2008" Case
February 7th, 2024
DNAhawkshaw Genetic Genealogy is honored to once again collaborate with the Pima County (AZ) Office of the Medical Examiner to utilize Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy (FIGG) in generating leads toward the identification of Vernon Arizona John Doe 2008.
Discovered on October 24th 2008, the remains of this 35 to 50-year-old unidentified male were discovered in Vernon, Arizona. He has gone unidentified for over fifteen years. His cause of death is "undetermined", and therefore uncovering his identity may lead to clarification of the circumstances surrounding his fate.
In a strategic alliance, DNAhawkshaw Genetic Genealogy and a team of independent FIGG analysts have partnered with Intermountain Forensics to leverage a newly established fundraising portal to cover lab costs. Generous donations from individual donors directly support this collaborative effort.
